Yatima Hope CBO is a registered Community Based Organisation operating within Nyalenda B area, Kisumu slums, in Kenya, serving the needs of children, adolescents and young women who have been made vulnerable both directly and indirectly due to the devastation of HIV. We aspire and strive to empower families to support children and adolescents to reach their full physical, emotional, social and economic potential.

I lead the team to meet and exceed goals and objectives. I oversee a department, a division, or multiple departments and directly manage senior staff. Further, I present strategies and results to executives, the board, and other stakeholders.
Benard Sigunga

I assist with the planning and coordination of programs and their activities. For this, I monitor the implementation of program policies and practices. My work is to keep programs on schedule, within stated budgets and functioning smoothly. Also, I support the program’s growth and development as necessary.

I provide guidance, advice, feedback and support to the mentees, as well as serving as their role model, teacher, counselor, advisor, advocate and ally. I support them with developing all their tools to be able to become a better version of themselves.
Martha Adhiambo Obuon

As a Matron, I oversee and lead the team caring for the children in the organisation and ensure that children receive the best possible care. I am also responsible for infection control, cleanliness, and other health risks as required.

As the administrator, my role is to keep records and reports up to date, help maintain the budget plan and supervise other staff and delegate responsibilities. I also organise and schedule meetings and events and handle technical issues in their area of expertise.
Annah Akoth Omondi

I am mentoring and supporting women to develop the skills and knowledge they need to move up the career ladder and overcome challenges. During the mentorship, I provide guidance on navigate the women in social economic hand work, in developing a professional network, and skills needed for leadership roles.

As International Coordinator, my primary focus is on building resources to ensure that Yatima Hope C.B.O. operates under the best possible conditions to carry out its vital work for the Nyalenda community. I act as a bridge between our Director, Collins, the communications team, and our European supporters and well-wishers.

I am responsible for the digital representation of Yatima Hope C.B.O as well as the technical support for donations and payments. My goal is to make it as easy as possible to support Yatima Hope financially and always provide transparent communication on how the resources are used.

Webdesigner 🇪🇨
As the web designers of Yatima Hope the visual appearance of the website is our main focus. We developed the layouts and structure for the pages and are responsible for the training of the staff with our online tools.
