On August 5th, 2024, Yatima Hope CBO hosted a highly impactful Community Social Event in Kisumu Central Sub-County, focusing on supporting teenage mothers, widows, and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). This event was part of our ongoing commitment to empower those made vulnerable by the HIV epidemic, particularly children, adolescents, and young women.
The event saw a remarkable turnout, with over 20 beneficiaries participating in various activities designed to promote health, well-being, and economic empowerment. Our dedicated team provided essential services, including counseling, and linkage to care for those in need. Additionally, we offered comprehensive support for SGBV survivors, ensuring they received necessary medical attention, psychological counseling, and guidance.
The success of this event would not have been possible without the generous donations and support from our community partners and well-wishers. Your contributions have helped us take significant strides toward building a supportive, stigma-free environment for those affected by HIV/AIDS and SGBV.
As we continue our mission, we are inspired by the resilience and strength of the women and children we serve. Together, we are creating a future where every individual, regardless of their circumstances, can reach their highest potential. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this event and look forward to your continued partnership in our upcoming initiatives.
