From the Streets to a Technician: Dicson Mukhwana’s Inspiring Journey

We are incredibly proud to share the story of Dicson Mukhwana, a young man whose journey is a testament to resilience, hope, and the power of second chances.

In 2024, Dicson was a street boy, facing a challenging and uncertain future. He was rescued and brought to Yatima Hope CBO, where he was welcomed into a nurturing environment. Through our rehabilitation program, Dicson received the mentorship and empowerment he needed to turn his life around.

With the support of a generous well-wisher, Dicson enrolled at AKADO vocational training centre to pursue a course in electrical wiring. For the past one and a half years, he has dedicated himself to his studies, mastering the skills needed to become a qualified technician.

Today marks a significant milestone for Dicson. He is taking his final certificate examination, bidding farewell to the institution that has been a home and a classroom. We are thrilled to announce that Dicson is now a fully-fledged technician, ready to embark on a new chapter of his life.

This achievement is not just Dicson’s but a reflection of the collective effort of our community, our dedicated staff, and our kind supporters. It is through your generosity that we can continue to provide life-changing opportunities for young people like Dicson.

Congratulations, Dicson! We wish you all the best in your future endeavors and are so proud to have been a part of your journey.
