On November 26, 2024, Yatima Hope C.B.O., in partnership with Miral Foundation, brought hope and light to the community through a solar light distribution exercise. Held at our office grounds in Nyalenda and in Seme Sub-County, the event reached an incredible 1,200 beneficiaries, brightening homes and transforming lives.

The event was a success, thanks to:
Seamless organization and teamwork.
Motivated community members who embraced the initiative with gratitude.
Effective mobilization, even on short notice.

While the overwhelming turnout reflected the program’s success, some challenges arose, such as limited lights and the need for better distribution strategies. We’ve taken these lessons to heart and are committed to refining our approach for future events.

This initiative is more than providing solar lights – it’s about creating opportunities. Families now have a safe, reliable source of light, enabling children to study and parents to work beyond sunset.
